Please note that the number of traders attending this market might be small (this is the first time we have tried a market at Bollington) so we will be advertising it as a ‘market event’ so as not to raise expectations too high.
Roving Canal Traders Association
Floating market notification
Venue: Bollington RCTA Spring BH Floating Market
Venue: Macclesfield Canal. Kerridge Road Bridge 27 to Clarence Mill footbridge 26a, Macclesfield. SK10 5GR
Date: 10.00 GMT Friday May 25th to May 28th 2018
We would just like to let you know that there will be a floating market at the above venue on the dates shown. Floating markets organised by RCTA are approved by the Canal and River Trust and all our members hold a current Roving Traders licence from CRT.
Floating markets are free and anybody using the towpath is welcome to visit. The success of a floating market is very weather dependent and although RCTA will be advertising the market locally we can never be sure how many visitors will attend. At all our markets arranged so far the impact of visitors on the immediate locality has been minimal and has been accommodated by the existing visitor facilities. Any litter arising from the market will be collected and disposed of by the roving traders themselves.
A visit to a floating market is usually one part of a day out and people will also be visiting other attractions in the area and, no doubt, calling in to nearby pubs, restaurants and cafes. To help you plan your arrangements we thought it was important to let you know when the market will be held. If you need more information, please email:Markets.RCTA@outlook.com
The reverse of our market flyers offers an advertising opportunity for businesses, fishing clubs and canal groups local to the market. This space is usually taken up by one of our traders on a first come first served basis but if you would like to consider placing an advert here either at this market or at a future market at this venue please email: PubRel.RCTA@outlook.com
