This pub has been transformed since the bad old days! In the Good Beer Guide, 2009. Has had a lot of improvements made since then. A good pub in an odd corner, popular with those who know where it is - right next to the canal; over the road from the railway station!

Seven or eight cask ales available including Greene King IPA, Black Sheep, Joules and Bass, plus local micro-brewed alses such as Front Row, Cottage and Tatton. Traditional cider is also served.

Good. Breakfast for B&B guests.

Other facilities:

Snooker table, children's play area in the garden, car park. Accommodation available in the cottage next door.
