Introduction:

Country pub about 100m from the canal. Monday to Thursday 12.00 - 3.00pm and 5.00 - 11.30pm, Friday 9.00 - midnight, weekends midday - midnight.

Brews:

Five well kept Real Ales, recently including Ringwood Boondoggle and Jennings' Cocker Hoop!

Food:

Food, homemade pies seem to be the speciality! 24 seat restaurant. Monday to Saturday 12.00 - 2.30 and 6.00 - 9.00pm, 9.30 on Saturday, Sunday all day 12.00 - 8.00pm. Menu. Steak night every Tuesday evening. Curry night every Wednesday evening.

Breakfast Friday 9.30 - midday all year, Saturday 9.30 - midday April through September.

Other facilities:

Beer garden. Quiz night every other Tuesday evening.

Finding it:

Close to br.87 and br.88, access 100m downhill from either.
By road, from the A34 Newcastle-under-Lyme to Congleton Road turn towards Mow Cop hill at Station Road, or if coming south, first left as you come to Scholar Green into Stone Chair Lane then left again. Pub is on the right before the canal bridge.
