Previously the Lamb Inn, this pub has been given the once over to modernise and upgrade its facilities. It is very comfortable providing excellent food.

Good beer selection including real ales.

Excellent food. Their speciality is game, with at least one game dish on the menu every day.

Most direct canal access is from Gurnett aqueduct, about 1/2 mile. It is right in the middle of Sutton village, on the left just beyond the cross roads. On OS maps it is exactly where the telephon is marked. Other canal access includes from br.44, follow field path just south of bridge before second house; from br.45, south on main road, first left then follow road into Sutton, turn right, it's on the left.
