Introduction:

A traditional 18th century country pub, it is actually out of sight of the canal but it is the only accessible one between Bosley locks and the outskirts of Congleton and it is well worth the short walk! The building used to be the local courthouse and it has been beautifully refurbished in recent years.

Brews:

Marstons; Pedigree, Burton, plus one guest ale, two at the weekend.

Food:

Yes, all day ...
Monday-Thursday: 12noon - 9.00pm
Friday, Saturday: 12noon - 9.30pm
Sunday: 12noon - 8.00pm

Good reports.

They have a dining room that can be booked for a semi-private party (it can't be entirely closed off from the public area).

Car park, garden with decked area.

Uphill from bridge 61 about 1/3 mile on the left. About 3/4 mile northeast of bridge 68, 2 miles from Congleton town centre. Take care! The A54 is a busy road with lots of corners and no pavement.
