The Cloud
So many of these walks seem to reach out for the high ground and this one is no exception. The reason is, I suppose, obvious - we all like a good view - and the Cloud, like all the hills along this western fringe of the Peak District, provides an outstanding grandstand with a front row seat beside the green pond that is the Cheshire plain.
The walk takes you from the canal at about 410 feet above sea level up to the hamlet of Timbersbrook and all the way up the back of the wedge of cheese that is the Cloud to the top at about xx feet. |
