Canalside interests

This page provides pointers to aspects of interest along the 26¼ mile (plus 1¾ miles of the T&M Hall Green Branch) canal and its banks which can all be seen on a cruise or a walk along the canal. For convenience the items are generally listed in sequence from north to south. All the main places have separate pages which provide a guide to the canal, each describing a length - please click the links for the details.

  • Marple - junction, commemorative sign post, company wharf and warehouse, service point, change bridges 1 & 2
